There are a few universal truths that helped inspire Forkful.
Truth #1: “What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” – Jane Goodall
Truth #2: “Remember, each one of us has the power to change the world.” – Yoko Ono
Truth #3: “The Earth is a fine place and worth fighting for.” – Ernest Hemingway
I’m Natalie and together with my husband Simone, we are Forkful.
Two years ago we became parents. And it was through this journey that we stopped and evaluated the way, as a community, we lived.
To be honest, it’s a terrifying thought when you realise that we don’t start making a difference now, what are we leaving for our children. And our children’s children.
Having spent a significant amount of time living in Europe in 2019 we were blown away by their concept of social awareness, it was everywhere!
In particular, around food waste and loss, and how far ahead of Australia they were when it comes to innovation, education and action on this topic.
Collectively, we have over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry.
Turning this new learning into life, we identified there exists a need to help our friends in the industry turn unsold meals into new customers and revenue.
Forkful respectfully acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work, the Wurundjeri People, and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
